Troy is a small city located in Bell County, Texas, United States. It is situated approximately 16 miles north of Temple and 20 miles south of Waco. Troy covers an area of 2.8 square miles and has a population of around 2,000 people. The city is bordered by Salado Creek to the north and east and the Belton Lake to the south. Some of the major roads and highways serving Troy include Highway 317, which runs east to west, and I-35, which is located approximately 6 miles west of the city. The city offers several notable attractions, including the Troy Community Center, Troy Historic District, Cedar Ridge Park & Marina, and Wilson Park. The city is also home to several schools, including Troy Elementary School, Troy Middle School, and Troy High School.
